'Tis the Season to Be Jolly.... or is it?

Updated: Dec 14, 2022

True for many Christmas is a time of joy spent with family and friends, full of fun and laughter. It is also a time of endless to-do-lists and deadlines, bringing with it a sense of overwhelm. It is a season filled with all sorts of emotions - stress, excitement, joy and even calm, bringing for some a quiet sadness as we celebrate with those we love and think of those we miss.

Whatever feelings we are experiencing it can feel like a spot-light is shining on them at this time of year.

Make time for care, compassion and patience with ourselves and those around us.

This kindness advent calendar is a lovely way to put this into action over the days of December:

Emotions Coaching

Between the hustle and busyness there is often space for reflection before the year draws to a close and we start to plan our goals for the year ahead.

This year, I have qualified as a coach and have been supporting clients with their self-exploration towards their goals. Very recently I spent a week training to become an emotions coaching practitioner. The week felt like a retreat where I spent hours coaching and being coached using the insight from my emotions to guide me closer to my goals. Afterwards, it felt like I'd been through an emotional detox.

Does this sound like something you'd benefit from? To find out more follow the link:

I have space to offer this to a few clients from January onwards (and can slot in an introductory session ahead of Christmas to kick-start some reflection). Interested? Send me a message or email at atebcoaching@gmail.com.

A Christmas Classic

"All you can take with you is that which you’ve given away" It's a Wonderful Life.

If you haven't seen it before, persevere until the end. This film is full of emotion and joy creeps in at the end.
